With the advent of September, it seems that a whole new crew of workers floods Belvedere every morning. Oh My God. It is amazing. And while I did write that the construction noise is irritating, ( or can be!), the presence of the new crew is energizing. Like Bret said, it means that work is being done and we are closer to completing the vision of Belvedere each day.
The Connexion people have been putting in the fiber optic system over the last few weeks. They camp out, in the rain, and in the sun. There is a box on the corner near our house and I have been watching them. One of them stopped us the day it rained to comment on the mud. And now the blaizng heat. What troopers.
The sidewarlk ends are filled in and the alley is going to be complete soon. Yay!
So, while living in a constuction zone is low-level stressful, it is also inspiring and exciting.

What are your thougths about Churchhill and the recent foreclosures? What kind of affect do you think that has in Belvedere
Churchill was in trouble when we settled on our house, so we saw this coming (hoping it wouldn't though). It is hard to watch someone I care about have such life-shifting issues. Josh and Jamie have really carried it off with grace. The foreclosures affect my neighbors, in their favor really and do not affect Belvedere. Eagle Construction is going strong. Hauser Homes is another story.
New home builders are rumored to be buying into Belvedere. I am assured that there are investors who want to get involved in the project waiting at the perimeter several lines deep. The concerns I have are that the project will not roll out in the way we were told it would. We (myself and my neighbors) signed up (bought into at a hefty price) the whole concept and we are working hard with the builders and the developers to make it so. Well, at least I am. So much more good is to come. We have to get through this rough patch first, and it is rough for everyone, especially new home builders.
Thanks for asking.
Kate
Can you tell me your thoughts about Connexion Technologies? My existing neighborhood is considering a partnership with them and I have some concerns. This neighborhood is 20 years old and it seems that Connexion is really marketed to new construction developments. I am trying to do some research before our homeowner's association meeting in January. You can email me at wynnewages@yahoo.com Thank you!
